Myriam’s Bio
Myriam Khoury is an independent scaling and organizational change consultant who helps social impact leaders and their teams around the world achieve ambitious impact goals and adapt for the future.
She has over 20 years of practical management experience overseeing project and investment portfolios of up to $50 million and diverse, global teams of 50+ subject-matter and operations experts.
During her six years on the Executive Leadership team of Mercy Corps, a leading international nonprofit, Myriam helped the organization double the number of people reached, significantly expand global partnerships, and increase annual revenue by some 25% to $565 million/annually all while steering successfully through major disruptions like COVID-19.
She has skillfully driven enterprise-level process and systems enhancements; spearheaded growth and diversification of revenue streams; introduced cutting-edge, evidence-based technical approaches; and introduced initiatives that improved DEI, localization and power-sharing.
In particular, Myriam has helped diverse nonprofits and emerging social enterprises scale their models for impact. As Vice President, Innovation at Mercy Corps she helped grow agency investments in undercapitalized nonprofits and social enterprises, which resulted in a 9X increase in the number of people benefitting from the portfolio's services. She also oversaw an early-stage impact investing fund as the portfolio grew from 100,000 to over 10 million customers reached, while ensuring it better served BIPOC and women founders.
She brings a pragmatic and adaptive approach that is based on years of experience managing large projects in difficult operating conditions; developing competitive proposals on deadline; and working on the ground with communities, government, civic and business groups and local leaders around the world.
Myriam holds a BA in Literature and Society from Brown University. She taught storytelling and impact measurement for social enterprise in Portland State University’s School of Business and is the co-founder of an early-stage commercial start up.

“Success is not achieved by winning all the time. Real success comes when we rise after we fall. Some mountains are higher than others. Some roads steeper than the next. There are hardships and setbacks but you cannot let them stop you. Even on the steepest road you must not turn back.”
